Hey everyone, so I took my Hummer 2x EV SUV on my second off-road trip to Pismo Beach Oceano Dunes and man was it a trip. This was only my second time off-roading in sand and the very first with the Hummer so there was a lot to learn, and did I learn a lot.
Honestly, I was really concerned about the weight of the truck and the performance in soft sand. Overall, the Hummer did great, other than my self inflicted mistakes.
First off, I made the lazy mistake of not reading up on which driving mode I should use in sand and just put it in terrain mode, yeah I know dumb
. Secondly, I learned to take it easy and not get too confident, especially as a novice like myself. For those wondering about tire pressure I went down to 20 psi and that seemed to work well, up until I got too excited and had my tire unmount from the wheel 
. Once again, I got too confident out there.
Overall, I had an amazing time and enjoyed the day, besides the obvious blunders.
