Curious to know how many Hummer EV owners out there use one-pedal driving? It took me a few days to adjust, but now I really enjoy it. My wife, however, isn’t a fan (yet?), and turns it off whenever she drives.

I’ve used it since Day 1. Wife drives a Model X so already used to it long before the Hummer arrived.
While I find the learning curve of one pedal driving extremely short and the experience very enjoyable. however, there are two strong reasons for using this method on the Hummer EV.
1) The recharging of the battery is more efficient.
2) Far more importantly, the Hummer EV is close to 10,000 pounds in weight and using traditional brakes will put an enormous strain on the calipers and brake pads. Over time, this could be costly and require dealer maintenance/replacement of these items.

It’s awesome- as previously stated knowing the weight and force put on calipers and brakes - it’s a money saver to me! Couldn’t imagine driving the beast without using it!

its so smooth once you get used to it. it hard now to drive an ICE
It's great but very difficult if you regularly switch vehicles. My other vehicles feel like they are running away and cause panic the first couple of minutes. Only been a month, hopefully I acclimate and can switch easily.
Reminds me of going from my manual transmission truck to automatic cars. Keep wanting to press that phantom clutch pedal on the cars.

I do genuinely feel for you. I am a car-nut and simultaneously owned and E-type Jaguar (very low, nimble and stick shift), a 1997 H1 Hummer (ponderous, wide and high) and now the Hummer EV. Driving the Jag versus the H1 was disconcerting enough, moving from the Jag to Hummer HV was initially even more bizarre. Didn't know what to do with my right hand and left foot.
It took about 3 to 4 weeks of continuously driving the Hummer EV in single pedal mode to get comfortable enough to drive both cars.
It breaks my heart that a 10,000 pound monster can easily out accelerate my poor beautiful E-type.
I had a BMW i3. So I was used to one pedal driving. It will become normal after a few hundred miles.
I just picked mine up yesterday. Took it to work today and used 1 pedal for the drive. Very easy to get used to. But, I found myself wondering if brake lights were coming on as I rolled to stops at stop lights with people behind me. I don’t want to get rear ended. Does anyone here know that answer???
So I'm preparing for a 400 mile each way road trip. I'm trying to figure out if I should use one pedal or two pedal driving. Most of the journey will be on the highway 60-70 mph. Which is more efficient in the Hummer? I have been using one pedal for my daily driving, but I'm thinking for long stretches of highway the ability to coast might be better. Anyone have thoughts?

You might be onto something there. A 100-200 mile test with each setup would be a great way to determine if it actually boosts efficiency.
Definitely worth trying!
Agreed! Do 200 miles one way and then another 200 miles the other way. Curious minds want to know your results.

I can't stand one-pedal and I'm pretty sure coasting is more efficient at highway speeds. I only find it useful in stop-and-go traffic and even then I don't use it much. Thankfully figured out the tow regen button also functions as auto hold, so no need to keep my foot on the brake at traffic lights and drive-through windows.

It's awesome for around town driving! It really messes me up when I switch vehicles and realize I have to actually hit the brake pedal to slow down..

Auto hold was one thing that truly worked perfectly in my Jaguar F-Pace SVR. You didn't have to stomp on the brake like most cars make you. Just a gentle press after coming to a complete stop and the green HOLD light pops up. Wish they all worked like that! *sigh*

it's also so cool you can adjust the throttle/joystick/"gas" pedal sensitivity. I would of had to install a different pedal from Maserati Madness to change the sluggish response of my Grecale Folgore -- was alot like lag in a video game. Oh, and for those of us so inclined, that button also makes for a great "launch control". Just like stepping on the brake while hitting the gas in a regular car, except regen is doing the actual holding. Same effect 0-60-wise anyways.
