2026 GMC Hummer EV Drops Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

GM just updated the Hummer EV’s infotainment system for 2026, and there’s some good and bad news. The setup still includes a 13.4-inch touchscreen and uses Google built-in, which should feel familiar to anyone used to the previous system. But the big change? No more Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, wired or wireless. This is part of GM’s broader move to drop smartphone mirroring in its EVs.

I'm a big fan of Apple CarPlay, so this isn't good news IMO.

There probably will be aftermarket option to get Apple CarPlay on the display.
