They always announce the last day of production and ordering around this time of year, and they just announced the last day for the 2026 Hummer EV is December 11th. (Its also December for the CT5 Blackwing, which is discontinued but coming back in 2028). Normally the last day is in June or July and then they retool, sometimes over the July 4th shutdown for the new model year, but that’s not happening for the Hummer. Last year, they stopped production of the 2025 model in July. Something is different this year. Interestringly the last day of Production for the 2026 Escalade IQ is September 4th.
They wouldn't build the 2026 model into December of 2026 if there was going to be a '27 model. December 11th is also the last day they built the 1987 Grand National. There is no 88 model. Now, maybe something else is going on, but the most likely answer is the end of the Hummer EV. I'm not here to debate; if you believe there will be a 2027 model, great. I hope you're right. I really do, but I don't have much faith.
