Hi folks, I'm looking for some fresh insights and advice on an issue I've been having with my suspension and ride-height functionality. I apologize for the lengthy read, but unfortunately, it's become a long story.

Here's the back story: I have a 2024 3X SUV that I bought used about 7 months ago with about 20k miles on it. For the first 2-3 months, everything was fine and it drove as expected. Then out of the blue, it started acting up.
I would set the ride-height to "Increased", and it would raise up to the correct height as it should. However, when I start rolling forward, the front-end would immediately raise up to "Extract height", or close to it, and stay stuck there. Note that I'm not in "Terrain mode" when this happens and it's only the front-end raising up so the truck looks like it's doing the "Carolina squat". Obviously, it's not very drivable when it does this as the suspension gets very stiff and bouncy and the steering all wonky. When I'm able to get it back down to normal/default ride-height, it would drive normal again; with the exception being, it would do a similar behavior in normal/default ride-height after coming out of WTF mode.

It still has a little bit of warranty left on it and I eventually took it into the dealership, and that's where things got worse. As of right now, it's been in and out of two different dealerships for this issue with actual time at the dealership being about 1 1/2 - 2 months by now. (Also note that no codes have come up throughout any of this saga.)

The first dealership couldn't figure anything out, so they called in a gm field service engineer and ended up changing out a control module and a valve of some sort. At which point they claimed they had fixed it. Well, they didn't. It took me all of two minutes to see that it wasn't fixed. After looking at it some more, the field service agent then determined there was nothing wrong with it and it was "functioning as it should". The dealership then tried to wipe their hands clean of me and said I could go try another dealership.

The second dealership experience was much like the first, ending with a gm field service engineer saying he wouldn't even open up a case on it because the first "gm guy" said there was nothing wrong with it. And it gets even worse from here. After getting the Hummer back from the second dealership, the driving behavior was even worse than before, so something they did to it made things worse. It still has the original issues, but now it won't even drive normal in the default ride-height. Here's what it's doing now:

While driving at various rates of speed and during moderate acceleration, the front-end of the vehicle will raise up uncharacteristically high and sustain a "hang time" that is uncharacteristically long before settling out. During this behavior, the vehicle becomes very hard to control. The front tires "chirp and squeal" as they fight for traction. The shocks become very stiff and bouncy as the they max out. The steering becomes very loos and erratic. This is because the front tires struggle to keep traction as they lose front-end weight and move to a positive camber. PLEASE NOTE, I am well aware of this vehicle's driving dynamics. I know how the front end naturally comes up when accelerating which is normal. What's happening now goes WAY beyond the normal behavior and with only MODERATE acceleration; and it has never done this before.

The fact that they (gm) are trying to claim there's nothing wrong with the vehicle is wild to me. I can demonstrate it VERY easily.

I have since made a complaint with GM; requesting that a gm representative meet with me so I can demonstrate the issue. This would seem to be the most sensible course of action at this point since they are claiming there's nothing wrong with it. I'm trying to get them to "own-up" to the problem and fix it but there still has been no resolution so far. Legal action is coming soon if they don't.

All that being said, if anyone has any further insights or advice with this problem and/or situation, I would much appreciate it! I've had to drive it around in WTF mode quite a bit now just to get it cooperate and drive right. Since WTF lowers and stiffens up the suspension, it keeps it from raising up while driving. Thanks for any and all help!!

The tires are going to camber out when low and camber in when high. Camber can only be right at one/normal height. My 2026 2X raises more in the front than rear too by the way... dunno why.

There's a service mode just for alignments which needs to be enabled. I'd take it to a specialist and forget about the stealership.

You are absolutely right about the camber thing.

It would be one thing if we were just talking about some slightly quirky suspension behavior (it's always had a little bit of that), it's a whole other thing when it becomes almost undrivable. It's definitely not behaving normal.
I will try and post a photo of one instance. The photo shows when I have it in NORMAL ride-height, and the front-end pops up while rolling forward under 5mph and gets stuck there.

Also, while it's still under warranty, GM needs to uphold that warranty and make the car drive right. That's the whole point of the warranty.

Can you shed more light on the service mode? Also, do you have any advice/suggestions on a specialist if it ever comes to that? I wouldn't know who could even work on this thing and know what to do with it.

If that's "normal height" then yeah, that definitely isn't right.

I also noticed that my pitch and yaw angle sensor wasn't working when I first bought mine. Apparently one of the updates fixed it though. Just a wild guess but maybe it's software and not hardware that's your problem.
