Hi All,

I've got one of the stranger issues with my 24 module 3X SUT and am hoping someone in the community may know what's going on. Back in March of this year my truck threw the dreaded battery fault, I scheduled a service appointment to bring it in for inspection. The next day an update was released and I decided to apply the update which somehow cleared the battery fault. Now my truck is showing normal operation but it's still stuck in a sort of limp mode, ~70% power delivery. I almost always drive in WTF mode since the suspension is less than ideal while driving in the mountains where I live and I noticed that the display also shows the vehicle does not deliver anywhere near the stated power, capped at 700lb ft torque. I decided to bring the vehicle in for service where GM tried to troubleshoot the issue for 3 months. As of now GM claims its only a software update to the vehicle display which makes no sense to me since the display is looking at the battery pack voltage and amp draw to do the display calculation.

Not wanting to be out of my vehicle I decided to pick it up and run some of my own tests and low and behold, the truck is not actually delivering the power it should be and there are a ton of stored DTCs that GM refuses to acknowledge. I was able to find all this out by plugging in my Launch Diagnostic X431 CRP 919 MAX to read the DTCs and to read the live data from the battery, motors and inverters. The DTC scan results can be found here and I have a recording of the live data that shows the truck is not producing the power stated (1,000hp and 1,000tq) and is indeed stuck in some sort of limp mode in WTF (video attached) 😞

Does anyone know what could possibly be going on? Is GM lying about the issue being "display software" and not a greater issue?
