Hummer EV 2x vs 3x ...Which to choose?

I’m in the same boat, so I’m curious to see which direction you decide to take. Have you been able to test drive either model?

What kind of price difference are you seeing between the two models?

Hummer EV 2X SUV -
EPA-estimated up to 303 miles of range
2 Motors
GM-estimated 570 horsepower and 7,400 lb.-ft. of torque2
Also with the Extreme Off-Road Package, you get WTF that increases the HP to 635 and 9500 lb-ft of torque
0-60 mph in approximately 4.5 seconds (This is just a guess based on what I've read and video reviews)

Hummer EV 3X SUV -
  • EPA-estimated 314 miles of range†
  • GM-estimated up to 830 horsepower and 11,500 lb.-ft. of torque.
  • 3 motors (1 front, 2 rear)
  • 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds

I went with the 2X and some extra goodies, roll top tonneau cover for the bed, drawers for the roof, etc. Mine has Crabwalk as well.
Here is the thing that cinched it for me. the 2x tow capacity. 10,000 lbs.
The 2X is fast enough with more than enough accelleration to cross a busy street or on ramp a highway or pass a person, I do not drag race - so that extra motor on the back did not sell me and all the extra weight means the tow capacity is reduced significantly. In my opinion the 3X loses value on that.
Other things to consider, the added weight increases the vehicle weight. The 2x is already 5 tons of weight, depending on the state you live, are there incremental costs for the added weight from the 3x motor. Also consider the tire. the Hummer Pickup does not come with a spare. the added weight is additional wear and tear on the tires.
