service emergency calling

when i am driving sometimes a warning pops up that says “service emergency calling” any ideas what this is? it only happens sometimes and i normally just dismiss it.

Had same issue.

Related to onstar. You will see red led go on by onstar buttons when u see this error

U can call and get an email for the error codes from onstar.

My fix was tcu replacement under warranty

ok, I haven’t noticed a red light but will look for it next time! thanks, i will call them!

I’ve had this happen a few times, and it somehow went away on its own. It seemed to start the first time I took the roof panels off.

So the issue popped up again, and I took it back to the dealership. They said it’s a fairly common problem and replaced the OnStar antenna. Luckily, they had one in stock and had me in and out in a single day.

Once again, the service I’ve received from the GMC dealership has been excellent. While it was there, they also fixed a creak I was hearing from the swing gate and rotated the tires.
