If your charging door ever gets stuck, here’s a simple trick to pop it open—just keep a small flathead screwdriver handy!

This is quite helpful to be prepared for, thank you for sharing.

What size screwdriver you think? 1/4” flat head x 4”? It looked even smaller maybe…

My charger door gets hung up too. Pain in the butt sometimes. It doesn’t look broken, it just seems like it doesn’t push in enough for it to release.

No, no no if you want to fix the charging door permanently due as I did. All you need to do is pop the cover off as they show in this video then use any epoxy or some other glue to secure a very thin piece of solid material, like plastic, wood, or other polymer, right where the plunger is that locks the door. What is happening is the plunger only has a small plastic strip on the backside of the charging cover. When you’re pushing in that flexes and does not allow the locking plunger to go all the way in. All you need to do is have that solid backing on the door that prevents the flex. Reinstall the cover and you’re don, works like a charm fixed mine perfectly.

Can you attach a few pics of what you are describing?

Here are some photos. I used a piece of a wooden wedge about an 1/8 inch thick at most secured with double sided tape. Confirmed it works great opens on first attempt every time. I will probably do something a little more professional later.

Interesting, time to get the 3D printer out :)

This one?

That was a silverado but he was saying the charging plug was stuck to pull that emergency wire. I have seen any info on a cable to pull if the door is stuck....mine was giving me issues and I lubed that locking peg with a water proof silicone lube ... no issues since but will still carry a screwdriver and hammer in the truck just incase.
