Onstar Plan with New Hummer EV

I recently received a notification that my OnStar subscription with Super Cruise is expiring. I though this feature was included at no charge for the first three years or 36,000 miles. I'm at about 16 months of ownership right now. Did something change in 2025?

I have a 25 and mine is 3 years. Even tells me the date when I log into OnStar link that’s included in my monthly vehicle update email. I’ve had mine 14 months and have 22,000 miles.

I had to call OnStar support and they corrected it to 3 years. It must be a common issue because they didn't give me a hard time about it at all. Thanks for the replies!

I want to know how to disable OnSpy actually or this Government Motors Corporation vehicle is going to have to go. Hopefully there's a fuse for that.

There's also a middle ground. You can set your privacy settings in Google Maps to not share data. OnSpy will still work but Government Motors won't get the full trip data. On the other end of the spectrum, I'm pretty sure that shark fin antenna is where the actual GPS receiver is. It's not hard to remove. I'm sure that'll set off a fault code or two or ten though. Should still be driveable.

Just keep a multi spectrum jammer (900mHz, 2.4gHz and 5gHz bands) in your glove box. You can plug it in when you feel froggy, just be aware your neighbors will hate you when they lose their cell phones, wifi, gps, drone signals, etc. Note: don't actually do this, while it would disable OnSpy it 100% is illegal and easy to trace.

I used a fleet owner setting to disable data sharing, then disabled OnStar completely and disconnected my Hummer from the Internet. Down side is no Supercruise which kinda sux but it's a small price to pay to stay safe and secure from the domestic terrorists who have been hounding me my whole life in America. Looking into becoming a Mexican to celebrate the 250th anniversary actually. Freedumb!

EDIT: GPS still works with off-line Google Maps though, so it's not a complete navigation killer.
