General Motors has begun rolling out a new vehicle software update, GM Update V654.10, dated February 14, 2026, and it brings several behind-the-scenes improvements aimed at battery protection and diagnostic reliability.

According to the official release notes, this update focuses heavily on improving battery health management across temperature extremes. GM has implemented enhancements to better protect the battery in cold weather conditions, as well as fixes designed to improve battery performance and longevity during high-temperature operation.

In addition to battery-related improvements, the update also includes diagnostic system refinements. These changes are intended to reduce unnecessary or false service messages while also improving overall diagnostic responsiveness, which should help both owners and service departments identify real issues more accurately and quickly.

What This Update Improves
  • Better battery protection in cold climates
  • Improved battery health safeguards in hot temperatures
  • Fewer unnecessary service warnings
  • Faster and more responsive vehicle diagnostics

I wonder if they are going to release the software updates that they provided on the 2026:

1. Lane Center Without Full Super Cruise.
2. King Crab Mode
3. Information System speed (maybe is hardware dependent) .
4. Google Maps integration for Super Cruise (it now automatically switches lanes based on your navigation route)
5. Super cruise working also out of highways.

Someone here has some inside information? The Lane Center Without Full Super Cruise is a big deal for me, I'm looking to buy a SUV and Pickup. I may go 2026 if they do nor update the 2025.
