I bought my wife a 2025 Hummer EV 3X back in May of this year. The car has been flawless and she has been ecstatic since the purchase. Two weeks ago luckily while at home the car through this error. You can’t open the doors because the windows won’t come down, you can’t open any of the trunks, and the car is completely dead. I had to have it towed to the closest GMC dealership. After a week, they returned it and replaced a 12 V battery… Keep in mind which is basically brand new. She had the vehicle home for one week and the same code happened again. It was towed yet again to the dealership And they have currently had the vehicle for two weeks. How common is this issue?

Sounds like you have a module that is not shutting down when vehicle is off. The dealership will eventually find and replace it.

If the hummer stays at dealer for over a month with no return in sight I would hire a car lemon lawyer and put in a car lemon claim..lease or buy doesn't matter..

I also would not be surprised to see that you had another 12v battery failure. It’s not unheard of. My Hummer is a 2025 with 18,000 miles. Last weekend mine did just like yours. No window drop, no interior lights etc. I placed my 12v on a charger and it registered 0 volts. Hard dead! Because it was a holiday weekend and I didn’t want to deal with dealership timelines, I purchased a new 12v with a 5 year warranty. Threw it in, drove it a few times to clear the faults and all is operating as normal. 30 minutes of my time vs 2 weeks. Well worth the money spent.

How did you get the frunk open to get to the battery with no power?

There’s a pull cable in the drivers side footwell. You have to pull it twice, then lift the frunk. There’s another pull cable in the drivers side rear wheel well that will release a locked charge cable.

That is good to know. Thank you so much. Do you by chance know of an emergency release for a tailgate on the truck? My tailgate on my truck will not open. I have a 2004 hummer truck.

Do you know if there’s a way to open the tailgate? I have a 24 truck at the tailgate will not open. I was wondering if there is an emergency release for that anywhere.
