I owned the R1T quad-motor and the R1S quad-motor
I really wanted to love them. There is a lot to like about them.
But there are deep flaws that can't be easily fixed.
Let me explain....
What I liked about the R1S
- elegant and timeless design
- really beautiful interior and nice...
In California, charging at EVgo costs about $55 for 100 kWh. A full charge for something like the Hummer SUT 24-module would be over $110.
That might seem high at first glance, but let's put it in perspective by comparing it to a gas-powered Ram TRX.
The Ram TRX gets an average of 12 mpg. The...
Yes, the reason I went with the 3x SUT is because of the 24-module battery pack. On my model, it is rated for 381 miles. But I consistently get 440 miles+. If the 24-module battery was not an available option, I'd likely just go with the 2x. We are very happy with the 2x SUV's...
For everyday driving, the 2x and 3x feel very similar. The challenge with my comparison, though, is that my 2x is our SUV. The 3x is our SUT. The SUV has a very noticeable advantage in turning radius. For instance, with the SUV I can do a u-turn in a normal width neighborhood street...
Prices are tanking on all the 100k electrics.
The Cyberbeast, for example, has lost 10k per month for the past 3 months straight
$140k 3.5 months ago
$112.5k today
Personally I think the Cyberbeast is worth $79k and the Hummer 3x is worth $110k.
I own that exact 2x SUV. Plus I own the 3x SUT. Under normal driving, there isn't a noticeable difference. When you punch it, you can definitely feel the extra power in the 3x. But I'd say the 2x at that price is just a steal. Don't pass it up if it's within your budget! That's...
So far, I can say the Hummer EV has been my favorite vehicle of all time. It's amazing that such a vehicle exists. And it's even more amazing how practical it is to own and drive one on a daily basis.
We're a family of 5 and need to lug around strollers, sporting equipment, and Costco! Not...
Hello from the Bay Area.
I've had a Hummer 2x SUV and a Hummer 3x SUT for a couple months now. Absolutely love both of them.
Before these beauties, I had the opportunity to own these other amazing electric trucks:
- Cybertruck Foundation Series (regular version)
- Ford Lightning Lariat...
Earlier today I took the VIN number from a $151k Hummer 3x SUT and put it in Tesla's trade-in offer page. They offered $97,200. 36% drop from MSRP.
I then took the VIN from a 103k Hummer 3x SUT and it was the same exact offer. $97,200. Only 6% drop from MSRP.
All the extra features on...
I had a regular Foundation Series Cybertruck for about 3 months. Wrapped it in white gloss PPF. But got rid of it after I test drove the Hummer EV 3x SUT. Basically did an even trade while Cybertruck prices were still hot.
Things I liked about the Cybertruck
- buying direct from Tesla...
By the way, in the past I've had a great experience with Discount Tire / America's Tire for tire rotations and repairs. They can sell you a lifetime rotation plan for less than $100. If I remember correctly, I paid only $60 for my last car. That gets you free rotations every 5k miles.
